In 2007 Lindsey Beer decided it was time to start her own business and hasn't looked back since. It was a passion for food and presentation as well as her mother's home baking that inspired Lindsey's career path from a young age. She found the perfect location in the bustling Boutport Street at the heart of Barnstaple's best shops and restaurants. With Armada's support, Lindsey was able to kit out the bakery with all the specialist equipment she needed.
After opening, her popularity grew rapidly. The locals love her exquisite, luxury cakes, the quality of which are unbeatable in the area. Within just 2 years, her success combined with Armada's support meant she could expand and open a second shop in Bideford run by her partner Ben. Armada again funded the specialist equipment as well as the furniture.
