Husband and wife team Richard & Roseleen Cullen provide an outstanding environment that is fun yet educationally stimulating for children aged 0-8 years. Consequently, parents are keen to send their children and places at The Island Day Nursery have become extremely sought after.
This demand led to a rapid expansion over the last few years and Armada's short-term funding of the play, kitchen and computer equipment was the perfect solution to free up cash, thus enabling the business to grow. The nursery in Newport doubled its capacity by extending the premises and two new sites at Sandown and Gurnard Pines have since been opened. The Island Day Nursery Ltd is now the largest independent childcare provider on the Isle of Wight.
Richard said: "In the childcare business, cash flow is tight so investment in new equipment often has to wait.
